The open ended design and free-standing steel construction is sturdy and allows you to do many more exercises than you could with a normal dip stand. There are two exercises you can do with the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand that easily make this product worth far more than its purchase price. The dip exercise is absolutely the most effective bodyweight exercise for increasing chest and tricep strength. The Bodyweight Row is an awesome exercise for building strength in your shoulders, biceps and back. It is very comparable to a pull up. Many people already know the benefits of doing dips, but you may not have known about Body Weight Rows. These two exercises alone are an extremely effective and challenging workout. | | | |

This little dip bar delivers big time Feb 17, 2008
By SimpleFitness1st Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2AQCJOXGX6FHS Become surprisingly stronger by doing just two exercises with the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand.
Dips are superior to push-ups because they use your entire bodyweight for resistance. Bodyweight Rows like pull-ups are a fantastic exercise for your back and shoulders. Used together you get a balanced, challenging and effective workout from one machine.
You will hit the ball harder, be stronger on the court, and if you care about this sort of thing, you are going to have a bigger chest and bigger arms so you'll look better with your shirt off.

I found this exercise machine to be an excellent purchase. Cleverly designed, small footprint, stable. I did have some difficulty assembling it because the locking pins weren't aligned very well, but once it was all together, it worked great.

GREAT LITTLE DIPPER Oct 12, 2006

For the price I agree you can't beat this machine! I put it together quickly when I received it, and it is sturdy and very stable to use. I truly enjoy mine. Plus it fits well in almost any room, and almost doesn't look like an obvious piece of exercise equipment.

Does what I bought it for... Nov 03, 2010
By AmazonCrazy Pros: Takes up little space Lightweight Allows me to do Dips and a form of Pull Ups
Cons: More expensive than it should be - this should really be a 50 buck item, not 100 Was a pain to put together - I've read other reviews saying the same thing. When I started putting it together I thought this isn't as difficult as they said it would be. That was until I tried to fit the last tube together. I had to strain pretty hard to finally get it together, but it took a lot of taking apart and attempting to complete putting it together again. I don't think I'll ever plan on taking this apart again. Rocks a little while doing dips. May be too short for taller people - I'm 5'10" and when I dip down my knees sometimes touch the ground, and I'm keeping my elbows slightly less than a 90 degree angle. I'd think if you were 6', you wouldn't be able to do the complete dip.
Overall, does what I bought it to do, but a little expensive for what you get.

Well-designed and solid product. Dec 27, 2007

Full disclosure -- I have no connection with the company that makes this item. That said, this is one of the best exercise-related products I've ever bought, and it's well worth the (very modest) price. It has no moving parts to break or wear out, the metal tubing is solid under my weight (about 175#), and it takes up very little room. Between the dips and the body-weight rowing exercise, one could construct a quick and effective upper body workout around this stand. It does take a little muscle to put together, since the tension on the pieces is part of what holds it together, but that contributes to its stability. Very pleased with this product.
